Bizarrely, Trump had a group on Fundamentalist Christians meet with him in the Oval Office on Monday for a prayer gathering, which they all went on to lay hands on him and pray over him.
A photo of this meeting has gone viral on social media after several of the Christian attendees posted in online. Mike Pence, the Vice President, is also shown in the picture with his head bowed and his eyes closed.
Former senior vice president at the evangelical Liberty University, Johnnie Moore, shared the below Tweet:

A Florida televangelist and megachurch pastor, Rodney Howard-Browne, also took to social media saying that the experience on Tuesday with Trump was “surreal.”
He posted on Facebook saying, “What a humbling moment standing in the Oval Office—laying hands and praying for our President—Supernatural Wisdom, Guidance and Protection—who could ever even imagine—wow—we are going to see another great spiritual awakening.”
During an interview with CNN, the pastor said that they had prayed similarly for President Obama, but that it was different with Trump. “When we are praying for President Trump, we are praying within the context of a real relationship, of true friendship,” Rodney said.
It’s not forgotten that their “true friend,” the one who said he’s never asked forgiveness for anything from God, has bragged to the world about grabbing women by the pussy and has committed adultery several times. Trump also lacks any understanding of the Christian faith or what takes to be an Evangelical.
Monday’s prayer is actually quite common in several Christian traditions and is meant to call on God’s blessing for the person that is being prayed for.
This is, of course, the only religious tradition Trump has ever sought out.
Approximately 81% of all white Evangelicals voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Since then, several prominent Christian leaders have become Trump’s ally.
