After Representative Al Green (D-TX) took the House floor and laid out the reasons why President Donald Trump should be impeached, he has been inundated with threats. At his town hall on Saturday, tapes were played with a few of those threats.

The almost 100 constituents in Houston were visibly repulsed and angered by the messages. Please be warned, the message is graphic:

Part of another voicemail message, too graphic to post, warned, “Try it, and we’ll rinse out you f*** n***, you’ll be hanging from a tree. The intensity of these threats would make most people back away from their convictions, but not Green. In a strong, firm voice he said, “Friends, I want to assure you that no amounts of threats or intimidation will stop what I have started, I promise you, we are going to continue with this. We are gonna move forward, we will not turn around.”

Green, who is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and has seven years under his belt as a congressman, stood up for America when he called for the impeachment of the President after Trump threatened former FBI Director James Comey not to speak of anything they discussed.

The large crowd had many questions for Green, mostly about the impending impeachment. Constituents wanted to know how long it could take, would Mike Pence be any better as President and could he be impeached too considering he has known about, and participated in, all of Trump’s unlawful acts and therefore guilty as well.

Green calmly and patiently answered all of their questions. He admits the impeachment process can take a long time but it is well worth it. He said that the system needs time to function as it should. Green stated he has no intent on lobbying for Trump’s impeachment, mostly because at this point he doesn’t have to. Many members of Congress have already stepped forward in agreement and most are thinking about it.

At the end of the town hall, Green asked the Houston resident to go register and show their support at ImpeachTrumpNow.com to do the right thing for the United States of America.
